Introduction

School of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering consists of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electronics and Department of Automation.

It features such specialties as nuclear electronics and intelligence instruments, new energy construction machinery as well as the design of integrated circuits and advanced manufacturing technology. At present, the school concentrates on cultivating talents at the levels of postgraduate, undergraduate and higher vocational education, with its enrollment rising to 92 postgraduates, 2,900 undergraduates and 420 vocational students respectively (as of 2015). In addition, the school has also undertaken a joint undergraduate program inMechanical Engineering with Athlone Institute of Technology located in Ireland.

Staff

The school has a team of experienced teaching staff, including 35 professors and associate professors, 18 lecturers with doctorates and 56 with master degrees.

Facilities

The school has three experimental centers: Engineering Training Center, Electrical and Electronic Lab Teaching Center and Mechanical Experimental Teaching Center. Moreover, one school-enterprise joint laboratory of machining center and 20 advanced sub-laboratories are established.

Electronic Science and Technology

Introduction

 Electronic science and technology is a comprehensive interdisciplinary of the

physical electronics, microelectronics, circuits and systems and related technologies. Recently, with the development of electronic science and technology, it has become the foundation of national economy and defense information technology and promoted the development of the information and communication, the computer technology, control science, instrumentation technology, etc.

    It focuses on the science and technology problems of electronic circuits basic

theory, photoelectron materials and devices, semiconductor and integrated circuit, nuclear electronics circuit and instrument system, embedded computer system and automatic control system, and so on. The research content mainly includes: theory and application of modern circuit and system; detection, acquisition, amplification transformation and data processing technology of weak signal; Research and development of intelligent instruments and equipment; The design of embedded computer application system and SOC system; Acquisition and processing of nuclear signal;  The research and development of nuclear radiation detector; The design of new type of semiconductor photoelectron materials and devices and its optimization of performance, etc.

 With nearly 30 years development in our university,electronic science and technology has formed in an characteristic discipline direction of development and application of embedded system, design of circuit system, development of nuclear electronics and intelligent instrument, semiconductor optoelectronic devices, signal detection and automatic control system and undertaken the National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program), the National Defense Scientific Research, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and other major scientific projects. Then, it has Formed a complete architecture from research and development of semiconductor devices, design of circuit, development of instrument and system design and industrialization application.

Research Fields

 ⑴The design of circuit system and automatic control

According to the theory of modern circuit system and CAD technology, it aims at developing and researching analog and digital system design technology, the design of embedded system and the implementation of FPGA, the design of VLSI circuit system and composite sensing and detection system, fault diagnosis of electrical parameters, etc. It also researches the advanced control theory such as adaptive control and neural network control, and solves of the control and optimization problems of automation equipment and production process.

 ⑵The design of nuclear electronics circuit and system

 Around with the acquisition and processing of nuclear signal, it studies on the basic theory of nuclear elec-tronics and design of circuit system, including detection, amplification, collection, conversion and data processing for weak signal, the precision measurement technology of electronics for the randomness of nuclear information, statistics or single features, different kinds of radiation detectors and the relevant electronic circuit design, and the design and development of radiation detection instrument system.

 ⑶The semiconductor devices and microelectronics

 On the basis of studies on semiconductor materials preparation and device design and performance testing technology, it carries out researches on the photovoltaic materials and device and semiconductor lighting materials and devices, which are based upon GaAs, GaN, SiC, Si photoelectricity and the radiation detection materials and devices, new oxide micro-nano structure material and devices, mid-infrared antimonide thermal photovoltaic cells, Si thin-film batteries, etc. The design and development of application system for relevant devices are also based on it. Based on CMOS manufacturing technology, the application of EDA design tool to carry out application work on chip design and development related to semiconductor device.

 ⑵The business level and ability requirements: master the solid basic theory of electronic technology subject and specialized knowledge and skills, understand the development level of this technology in theory and application, familiar with the research direction of related discipline development trends at home and abroad, and has a broad knowledge background. Master a foreign language, has a good ability of listening and speaking of foreign language and academic writing. To the integrated use of electronic engineering, control theory, software programming and system simulation technology in the research and development work design of DSP and embedded system, testing technology and intelligent instruments, modern information and communication network, automatic control technology and semiconductor materials and devices.

 ⑶Good quality, rigorous scientific attitude, practical and realistic style of study and theory with practical work style.

Electronics and Communication Engineering

Introduction

 Electronic and communication engineering which combines electronic

technology and information technology is to build a modern information society in the field of engineering ; Its content is related to two level disciplines ( electronic science and technology ,information and communication engineering).

 The main research in domain of electronic and communication engineering

includes electronic circuit design, system programming and system integration of embedded system, nuclear radiation detection system, photoelectric detection system, electronic measuring devices, internet of things technology and industrial internet technology ; The researches are used in design and application of materials and devices which include photoelectric detection, radiation detection, photovoltaic power generation and semiconductor lighting; Electronics and communication engineering do research on  image processing, network communication, information security as well as operation, management and maintenance problems of electronic and communication system.

 Coverage in the field of electronics and communication engineering include

electronic materials and devices, semiconductor devices and integrated circuits, consumer electronics, electronic instrument and equipment, the Internet of things, intelligent manufacturing, communication and network, etc.

Research Fields

1Embedded System And Intelligent Equipment

 Principle and development techniques of embedded processors based on MCU、

CPLD/FPGA、ARM、DSP; Digital and intelligent signal acquisition and processing; Development and applied research of radiation detection apparatus, Industrial control instrumentation, and data communication equipment based on all kinds of embedded system.

2Technology And Application Of Internet

According to agreed protocol, Internet of things technology can realize

information exchange and communication between things in order to achieve intelligent identification, location, tracking , monitoring and management. The direction mainly do research on application in the field of Internet of things which including RFI technology, sensor technology, wireless communication technology, global positioning system (GPS), information processing technology and software technology ,such as sensor network data acquisition, testing and processing, the development and maintenance of RFID product, the development, assembly ,debugging of sensor network product and system, the development and maintenance of short-haul wireless communication system, the installation, testing and maintenance of embedded related products.

3Manufacture And Application Of Information Function Device

 With the rapid development of information technology which becoming more

digital and networked, the target of information technology has transformed into Multi-source information collection, information transmission capacity, real-time information processing and high density data storage. The carrier of information has transformed electron into photoelectron and nuclear electronics. The direction is mainly engaged in design, manufacture and application system development of micro-nano electronic devices, optoelectronic devices, nuclear radiation detector, information storage devices, semiconductor lighting devices and new energy devices .

Instrument Engineering

Introduction

 Instrumentation is an important tool for human access to information, awareness and transform the nature。Instrumentation is comprehensive engineering ,which provides detection, measurement, monitoring and control devices, integrated engineering equipment and technology,it provide important material and technical support through Cross-cutting and penetration with sophisticated machinery, electronics technology, optical technology, computer technology, and measurement technology and other subject for human society ,which extensive coverage to the national economy, scientific research and all aspects of people's daily production .Instrumentation engineering fields related to: product development, process development, equipment design, technological innovation, quality control, measuring and testing, enterprise management, new plant construction, project planning, the introduction of means of digestion and absorption, project feasibility studies and so on.With the technological development in the field of instrumentation, the new sensor and data acquisition, process monitoring and control systems, equipment and integration technology, micro system measurement and control instruments and manufacturing technology, the new measuring and testing equipment and measurement reference research has become an important skill in the art development trend.Instrumentation engineering applicable to all areas of the national economy ,training of high-level personnel in which metrology, testing, control of the culture field engineering, intelligent instruments, computer software and hardware, construction, business management and professional education and so on.

Research Fields

 (1) Detection technology and intelligent instrument design

 To carry out the design of intelligent instrument and testing of new technology research , as well as analysis and design detection systems is based power and non-power detection method on the theory, a microcontroller and embedded system applications on technology.At present, the main direction is to carry out nuclear radiation detection intelligent instruments design in the field of nuclear technology; flow and concentration measurement technology research , the study robotics and intelligent information processing, industrial metrology testing and verification, data acquisition and energy consumption analysis management in the industrial field,.

 (2) Precision instruments and mechanical design

 Electromechanical integration Discipline direction is formed by the study which based on precision instruments and machinery in the relevant theories, methods and techniques,and it make full use of modern electronic information technology, computer control technology, modern testing technology, precision machinery design and manufacturing technology, new materials technology and other methods and means. At current,the direction focus on the study of Geophysical instrument uranium resources exploration 3D resistivity  acquisition system and new imaging technology; as well as carried out precision machining, new energy-saving wear-resistant materials and  molding technology ,the develop of solar and wind power generation apparatus,and the research of troubleshooting Power Parameters technology and so on.
